Hummingbird Dental is open at least 8 hours for 6 days of the week.
Our staff works a full day on Saturday (from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.) to make it possible for patients who cannot see us during the week.
According to a recent article from CTV, the average one-way commuting time in the GTA is 42 minutes. If you’re in York Region (which many of our patients are), add another 11 minutes to bring the average commuting time to just under an hour. Multiply that by 2, and that’s nearly 2 hours of the day just to get to and from work. This time doesn’t include errands, social commitments, volunteering or other activities.
We really do understand why it’s hard for many patients to see a dentist!
There are some Richmond Hill dentists who open part of the day on Saturday, but those appointments tend to fill up quickly (and this can delay seeing a dentist in a timely manner). The Canadian Dental Association recommends seeing a dentist regularly (i.e. every 6 months) for a checkup and cleaning. By opening for a full day on Saturday, we’re making it more convenient for patients to see a dentist as often as they need to.
For these reasons, our team is available to serve patients 8 hours every Saturday, and we’re open 2 nights during the week (Monday and Friday) until 8:00 p.m.
Convenient Booking Options & Helpful Reminders
We recognize that having only 1 way to book an appointment does not work for all of our patients. Some patients want to call us or to book an appointment with a calendar in front of them, others like to book it at the end of their appointments (a great way to remember for next time) and our online booking option is growing in popularity because many of our patients prefer to add the appointment to an electronic calendar.
It’s also important to us to remind patients of an upcoming appointment. Depending on their preferences, we will call, text or email patients 1 week as well as 1 day before their appointment to confirm or reschedule an appointment.
